Mica is thrilled to leverage her organisational skills and interdisciplinary background to drive positive change. Before Generation Pledge, she worked as a research assistant at the Laboratory of Brain and Cognition at the National Institute of Mental Health, where she helped to design and run experiments that examined learning and plasticity in the human brain. While there, she was drawn towards the application of scientific knowledge for good and decided to pivot to the nonprofit sector. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University in an independent major that combines psycholinguistics, human development, and dance. She currently lives in Santa Barbara, CA.
